Default Pod Switches Sticky?

Do the ***** on the pod switches become sticky over time? Most of mine are, tried cleaning them and wondering now if the rubberized surface degrades or something ...

I've never see it, but have cleaned them all (inside and out), inside so they light up brighter, outside to remove years of grime.

I used Simple Green, then rinse and then wiped them w/ an interior grade rubber protection.

Is the rubber on yours actually melting?
