Default SCCA Thunderhill Grand Finale Race Nov 2014 VIDEO UP NOW

Another season was completed by the ole 928 S4 stroker!
first time in history a 928 has run in the runoffs.
And , finally , after fixing things that have been slowly going wrong for 2 years now, the car is back to bullet status! redlining all day long, and finally got back to the fastest time range of the car at thunderhill...... on the last lap of the last race of the weekend. 1:59.2 vs 158.8 best
3rd place in both races, holding off two GTA cars (southwest touring / NASCAR) . The car ran flawless. new brakes are nice, even with subpar pagid blacks. engine ran like a champ...... oil pressure up to 5 bar all weekend....... oil temp as high as 260 for a few laps, generally 250. best part of all..... my fix on the transmission made the transmission PERFECT!!!!!! its back!! (shift fork adjustment) no more poping out of 2nd gear!! no more driving holding it around tight turns with one hand!

Here are a few pics. video coming pretty exciting racing...... had a nascar truck blow a drive line and have it flying out on the race track, at 130mph...... fun!!

some pics from the weekend. what are all those beat up 928s all about in the back lot.... sad!!

Looks like I dodged a potentially ugly moment when a nascar truck had its driveline explode down the main straight at 120mph. If it wasn't for my buddy Randy in the vet , passing on the outside, I migiht have been directly behind him and it might have got really ugly. Car vs 30lb driveline at 120mph cant end well. video captured the code-brown moment.

That is badass! Very cool. And yikes on the driveshaft flying out like a missile.
