Nice paint, but those wheels look to big imo.

Yea... I'm going to put the stock wheels back on it. I don't care for them either. As far as the paint goes it is the stock 86 color. I painted it myself in the garage bay that is open behind the car. It is set up pretty good and the paint turned out very nice. It is R-M base/clear. I have about $600 in the paint job + a whole bunch of labor. I have painted quite a few cars myself and the 928 was definitely one of the more difficult mainly due to very few flat surfaces. I also removed the door edge guard and welded the holes up... I will post a picture when I put the stock wheels back on.

I can't remember the name. The paint shop mixed it off of the code. I am out of town the next few days. I will post the name of the color when I get back home... assuming they wrote it on the can.

Awesome job on the paint....it looks great!!

What size are the wheels that are on your car in the picture? I still have my original wheels on my 86.5, but am wanting to upgrade them. I have been looking at 17"-19" wheels, and am trying to get an idea of what size will look the best, and when it becomes "too big".

Thanks for the kind words. Not sure I want to take on another one right now. As stated above I painted back to the original color. Problem was, someone painted it white before i got it and did a really crappy job of it. I must admit it is one of the best jobs I have done. There is not a single flaw. It really is perfectly straight and like glass. I spent the extra money on the Diamont clear and the stuff is amazing. It is so glossy it looks wet all of the time.

Here are a few pictures along the way...
