CocaCola Car Resurrection Thread

Awesome.
Im curious if this car was actually "sponsored" at any time, just whimsical color choice, a coke employee's?
With all the good vibes this car gives off I think it deserves some corporate backing Contact Atlanta or your local bottler with promo ideas. At least a 6 pack and an ice chest if not a trailer wrapping and tire bucks.

I've been successful at writing a number of federal and state grant proposals, and this is really no different (actually, it'll be easier because I speak MBA). It's on the To-Do list for this summer.

I'd have to agree with James. Until you do what you say you are going to do...you are using a registered trade mark without-premission/illegally. Especially, if you are doing any sanctioned racing.
How great would that look for Coke if you drove around the track flipping folks off in the stands or in route to the track with your old open trailer and the Coke car on board? And this is probably why they don't support individuals and you have to at least have a LLC (liability insurance)...so they can keep control of who is using their trade mark and sue the living dog**** out of those that abuse it.

So...............
If I don't see your new enclosed trailer in my driveway by noon today...I may have to "drop a dime" on you.
Now, if the cabinets aren't finished yet...I can postpone my phone call until they are.
Brian.
P.S. I will PM you my address.

What's the towing capacity of the model you've got? 650# for tongue weight limit seems low. A good tongue weight (per recommendations) is 10% or more of total trailer weight. With the trailer, gear and car I'll bet it's 8000 lbs.

Think about used NASCAR etc cars that are fully logoed out then sold on or all the clones of actual race cars.
Did Andy Warhol get grief from Campbell's soup?
Good work on the photoshopped "ideas"

At this point I don't see it as any different than having a Mobil1 or Castrol or Playboy decal on the car. He isn't "trading" off of their logo. I do see where they could say the brand is being "diminished" if they wanted though.

Sorry, if my blowing smoke was a little over the top.

Really glad to see this happening and appreciate the serious effort involved in getting it done. This car has many admirers, with more than a few having had the opportunity to see and enjoy it during its track days.

I channeled the mid 1980s themed Porsche 911 and 962 Coca Cola racers since they were some of my favorites. Since this 928 is a 1986.5 and red, it seemed a natural fit. Played a bit with the size of the lettering and especially the side wavy lines to make it fit the body.
Very happy the car has retained the theme through two other owners and still on the track!

NO! NO! NO!
Do NOT use load leveling bars on your Cayenne. The Air suspension will try and counteract and you will have issues. I tow a 25' Doral cabin cruiser That weighs very near 7700 lbs with ZERO issues.
In fact it tows better than my F150 I used to have.

I put those decals on right after I converted it to a 5-speed for it to be driven at the 2007 48 hours of Sebring event by Mark Anderson.

The car gets a ton of attention at the track. ALways one of the best sounding cars, and best looking! Thanks for all that you did to this car Constantine!
Regardless, I picked up a tongue scale, so I can get the car loaded properly. Last time the trailer swayed quite a bit, so I have a feeling it was loaded too far back. Need to get the balance right, then it'll be all good, I think. Right now I'm flying blind. But it not a fun feeling having the tail wag the dog.
