Yes. Diamond Blue Metallic, same as my S4.

Early morning and late afternoon brings the paint to life as it picks up subtle pink and mauve hues.

My S4, late afternoon:

Red face Someone needs their coffee

^^ Roger is a strong advocate of 928 configured with auto trans....
Accordingly, some creative sould decided that 918 auto trans = rogerbox.

Standing by for the (mechanical) first gear start kit, and perf shift kits etc...
;-)

Hey, remember I'd like first refusal if you opt to sell those wheels in the future~

Hey Erik, very nice indeed; Both are keepers, but you already know that!

I got my 1st Porsche(911 cab) by using the "buying it for the wife" routine.

Erik,

Good choice!! And, as some have said the car looks good too.

The transmission in the car is going to be nice too. I've owned six 928's, two with manuals and 4 with Roger's favorite. For 98% of my street driving that is my favorite as well. Track, and a very occasional road are fun with the 'antique' (according to Greg, about to be obsolete) transmission. But - city, jammed traffic on interstates, etc. etc. you and that beautiful driver will like the automatic. When it is adjusted right, and starts in first gear it was a good choice by Porsche. The '94-95 electronic control is a good upgrade for sportier performance.

Shawn - my signature says it all.

We NEED to find replacement parts or bully Porsche into restocking. In this case I do not prefer the latter as the price will be obnoxious to say the least.

On a positive note I am finding that Porsche is restocking more and more of the parts we all used to say were NLA.

The only way that you can ever get Porsche to take the slightest bit of interest in what you are saying is to issue a PTech along with a VIN number. This in the Porsche parts World is the same as an AOG (aircraft on ground). When you issued an AOG along with the tail number of the aircraft the aerospace industry has to do everything possible to rectify the situation in short order. Now a "car on ground" will not get the same response but it does cause a ripple at PNA and Stuttgart by saying we have a car in the shop that cannot be moved because of a not available part. The more they see PTech's the more chance something will be done.

I did some quick checks in the Porsche system on 999 052 138 00.
Part was not on the NLA list but on MBO (manufacturing back order). MBO is positive because it means at some point it will be back in stock and that someone is actively looking for it to be made.

999 052 138 00 input bearing QTY has been updated to 26 which means they have more. I placed an order for one but it would not release which means they are not in physical stock as of to day. So any day now you will be able to purchase up to 26 input bearings.

Greg please do not buy them all and leave a few for us parts purveyors please!!

Any other numbers you want me to research?

I also checked on the 85/86 928 302 152 10 and they have 50 sitting in Germany.
However the price increased from about $50 to $489.

More proof that the 928 community is generating enough parts sales to stimulate Porsche into action.

Too bad that action is to bend us over and drive us to Cleveland...
