FS: OEM 928 Roof Rack - NOS - NLA
I have a NOS in the original box (at my storage unit) roof rack with ski attachments. It has only been out of the box to verify fitment on my 928S4 and to check to see if it would match up with my son's 924S.
I am looking for $1000.
Here is a picture that is representative of the rack...
Not my roof rack in the above picture but EXACTLY what one would get.

Hi Guys,
Keep in mind the Ski Rack only version is not nearly as strong or weight bearing as the standard 928 roof rack. Note the difference in thickness of the crossbars.
Don't try this with the Ski version :-)
Regardless that is still quite a find, congrats to whoever gets (or got) it.
Cheers,
Dave

Dav, what wheels are those? Do they have the right offsets for the 928. They are hands down the best aftermarket wheels I've ever seen on a 928. Are they RUF?
Cheers,
Joel

The wheels are TechArt http://www.techart.de/en/ and they were made for the 928 back in the day. Doubtful they are still made and those were the only 928 set I have ever seen.
They do look ever better in person, last I recall I sold that set to Marc Grasser and he has since sold his 928 years ago so I don't know where they ended up at.
Cheers,
Dave

I thought the cross bars were all the same, and you either put on the ski holders or the bike holder???
Now I'm not sure which one I have, anyone have the two part numbers?

You could get the dedicated Ski Rack ( I have owned 2, sold maybe 10) OR the "Basic Rack System" ( I owned a few and sold dozens).
You could also get separate adapters for the Basic rack system for bikes, skis and IIRC snowboards.
Basic Rack System part number is 928.801.055.02
Bike adapters part number is 928 801.093.02
Ski Rack (or maybe just adapters, can't recall for sure now) part number 928.801.901.02
See this Rennlist thread for even more info https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ski-racks.html
Hope that helps,
Dave

Ah....yes, I think I see the difference now.
I have the basic rack, not the ski only variant. I figured I did since I also have the 944 version and the cross bars look identical except for the mounting pads / bracket are different.
