Default Hanging on.....?

Got an annoying problem when I change down from 2nd to 3rd gear that it seems reluctant to come out of gear, and that is with clutch right down to floor, any pointers appreciated as to what might cause this ?
The box was completely rebuilt a few years ago to address syncro issues so I don,t have any issues with crunching etc, just this reluctance to move from 2nd to 3rd, you really have to positively yank it back sometimes although not always.

The box is running on 75/90 oil and has,nt been changed since the box was rebuilt, which is about 11 years now, no leaks either.

yes, by that do you mean leaks ? if so none. A new slave was fitted well before the box overhaul.

How does it shift when the engine is off?
if the issue goes away then your clutch is dragging.

If its still an issue with the engine off then ,
check the trans body, see if one of the shift rod spring holders is coming loose these would be 17 or 19 mm nut looking things on the sides of the trans

It,s a lot free,r in that mode, ie, doesn,t seem to hang up.

Then it's most likely an issue related to the clutch. I would recommend bleeding the clutch system and also checking to make sure the clutch pedal and push-rod for the clutch master cylinder are adjusted correctly and within specifications.

check the clevis at the top of the pedal,
you may need new clevis and pin and bushings to restore full stroke of the pedal

Seems unlikely if it's worked well for years until just recently.

Now, 11 years on a fluid refill ... who knows?
