Waiting anxiously...
The current owner of "my" car is on the road from Boston, 200 miles away. He's due to arrive in a half-hour. I have not gotten a call, so all must be well.
This is the car, you may recall, that has a 20-year-old timing belt.
When he arrives - no pessimistic thoughts, please - we'll take it for a spin around the lake, park it in the garage, and head for my bank to settle up. Then I'll call Roger.

Paperwork is complete. Car is in the garage ... well, it was the workshop behind my studio, but somehow I opened up enough space. These photos are only good as "before" photos. I see potential. I have not even looked at the option codes yet.
Calling Roger now. TB, WP, fuel hoses, for now?
Right tail lamp is cracked; I assume replacements are $$$?
Now have black and white.
Will have to study up on swirling.
There are some runny-looking stains, but no rash.
Very comfortable seats.
No cracks, bulges, etc in front; some separation way in the back, against side windows.
I guess I'll be getting personal with this item.
Won't be going anywhere for a while. That's a 918 poster above the door.

Roger is "Living the dream", he says, and deserves it. I had three decisions: $220 or $900 fuel lines (went cheap), Porsche or the PKT tensioner (latter), and will I be keeping the air pump (no).

Curt - awesome looking car - you did well. Parts will ship tomorrow - thank you.

Found some fluid on the garage floor this morning, right side - about a 2-inch diameter wet spot. Pretty sure it is engine oil. Oil pressure gage read at max bars when I drove it yesterday, but forgot to ask PO about it. Oil level is at full.
Someone asked if the headlight washers work - yes, and my wife got hit pretty good.
The alarm system is hooked up; found out when I clumsily grabbed the key fob (Alpine). It seemed to activate the car's general systems, which was startling. ??
I tried to decode the option codes, but I'm confused - aren't they supposed to be like "A123"? Thanks for all the nice comments.
What does this mean on an '87?
