Prior to reconnecting radiator hoses today I used a steel pot scourer to scrub off minor spots of corrosion (better seal etc) from the alloy.

Hmmm wonder what a few drops of Deoxit would do?

Wow. Bubble froth and viola and all that: oxide completely gone and alloy all smooth.
