Got into the car and shut the door this AM and the driver's side mirror glass popped off plastic backing.

Fortunately the glass is still in one piece.

Anybody know a great glue to fix this?

Clean well and you could go with a Loctite Epoxy from Lowes.

 

Is it the glue that gave up or did it just pop off from the clip?
If the later you just need to put it back on and from the bottom of the mirror just twist the circular clip back on. AT least that is how it is on the S4's.

Go to your glass store and ask them for a few of their double sticky patches then trim htem so you get most of the space covered and put the glass back on.

 

The S4 flags havethe same glass retention as the Aeros - a circular locking ring on the heated backing plate. If the plate is on the car still and just the glass off - remove the backing plate - twist the locking ring with a long thin screwdriver vis the hole in the bottom of the housing... Unplug the heater element.

Glue back on with a double stick patch (per Jerry above) but get the thin type intended for heated backing... Attaching this off the car is much easier - and allows you to compress them together gently while flat as the adhesive sets up.
