928 TRACK CAR FOR SALE
#16
If someone were to buy this car I have a hood and fender from my parts 1981 car (same parts I think?) you could come and remove for this one. Getting close to scrapping it once the tranny and tt are out. In upstate ny

Thanks for the memories David! That was probably one of my highlights with this 928.
I almost forgot how clean that car was. Hundreds of man hours spent by me, let alone by Tim W. and Abby S. during their ownership of this car.
Hope it gets another chance to rip up more tracks...

Here's a few more pics of the Coke racer at Sebring in '07. The 1st pic was actually used in Panorama when they mentioned our Sebring Shark Shiver gathering that year with a total 0f 28 sharks that weekend. Two are Mark Anderson racing it. One of the interior on the driver's side. The last one shows the passenger front corner in better days next to John Venninger's shark racer.

Just to show what this car could do in capable hands, and to confirm my earlier pic of the Coke 928 racer ahead of the 911; Here is the three pics I took in a row showing Mark A over taking & pulling away down the front straight. Maybe that puff of smoke was a sign of what was to shortly come though.

Hi Mel,
Great pics!
Yep, that puff of smoke looks ominous and we all know what happened thereafter.
But it now has a newly rebuilt engine that Abby S. had put in not too long ago with a few mods for tracking it.
Cheers,

Always greatly admired the incredible job you did on that car Constantine, everyone did. Looked like it came from a factory sponsored race team. It fit in just like all the other famous historic Porsche race cars at Rennsport Reunion III in '07. I'm sure all who saw it there thought it belonged. Add a few more sponsor decals, a couple famous former racer's names above the driver's door, and you wouldn't know the difference. Heck, I'd bet anyone with CocaCola USA who saw it just assumed they had sponsored the car back when(And they probably would too). I think of the Coke 928 racer as a mark to aim for when I imagine things I'd like to do to my DE shark.

Coca Cola 928
Mark Anderson getting set up in Constantine's car at Sebring 2007 (1st photo) and two photos of the Coca Cola 928 at Rennsport Reunion III.
Amazing attention to detail in this car: pinned-hood, cut-off switch, Accusump, roll cage, harness, racing seats, racing mirrors, exhaust, etc. Clean as a whistle too.
Same goes for John Veninger's silver stroker.

The last picture above is after Abby S. bought the car. Becky is his lovely wife, and the other two names are their beautiful little girls.
Thanks for the kind words and great pictures Mel and David.
John's monster stroker engined silver 928 was truly a beast on the track. It hurt a bit just standing next to it when it was running.
That was a great time.
Now let's get the Coca-Cola 928 to a new home!

Ok, I'll end my pics posts with this one of the Coke racer paying tribute to your lovely wife Diane.
Someone needs to buy this one & get it back on track, & back on the track!
