$750 by the time all is said and done....which is a great price once you realize how much work is involved....

There is a picture of what must be the finished seats near the end of his other thread. I have feeling that Hayden is not too pleased with the result.

That would be a safe assumption . Jose has agreed to redo them after he reupholsters the second set se got from Mark and has a little more experience. My wife thinks they look good but being aware of how they are supposed to look new there is a lot to be desired at this point. I am glad that the owner is standing behind his work and redoing the job when I get the motivation to remove the seats again.

Hayden, I am pleased to see that your level of discrimination is up to some kind of level of a connoisseur of things 928. Unfortunately I think you are going to continue to be disappointed with your guy's performance on your seats to the end.
If he were able to do these correctly at all he would have done so to begin with. He was in such a big hurry to get them done the first time in order to maximize his time/dollar ratio that he did a poor job, assuming he even had a clue about what the job was and how to do it. Now you are going to expect his to do It again, to do it correctly, and to do it for no additional money.
That is not going to happen, at least with a happy result. In the end he is probably going to loose your seats again in another car that he will sell them for, and so forth.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that very few people have had complete success the first time with these seats. He went over the results with me and explained what he will do to fix the issues and there will be no additional costs involved. Whether or not the results are satisfactory remains to be seen. Thank you for your concern though.

Jerry you are spot on, these are very difficult seats to trim and there is little tricks to learn and the Porsche trimmers all have their patterns taken from good seats to be able to replicate accurately. My trimmer also put stiffeners in "pillows" in the lower part of the seat to stop them going out of shape after they start to get used.
I once had my seats done by a so called Porsche specialist and all he did was make excuses, I had to wait for him but the Porsche trimmer had an even longer waiting list. There was a massive difference in the quality of the job but very little difference in the price.
Some of the seat trim kits out there are woeful also, the seats look like they have "Bell's Palsy"
My advice would be accept them how they are and try and get a discount. Otherwise pay someone who knows what they are doing and do them in leather, otherwise you are wasting your labour dollars.
