Is it just me, or is it the case that many nicely preserved cars get into serious accidents shortly after getting purchased?
Glad you're saving it!
I was just thinking the same thing... seen a few nice older cars get damaged lately. Very unfortunate. Glad this one will be saved, though.

Airbag is often the kiss of death, one of my son's friends had his almost new car totaled due to airbags which destroyed the dash. Airbags themselves are crazy expensive to replace.

Good to hear you can save this one.

After only five years finally getting this GT restored. A lot has happened. The front clip was replaced years ago and it languished in my garage under a car cover. Recently, I resumed the restoration. The car is at a Porsche collision certified shop to verify the frame is ok. The plan is to bring it to Frenzy this year after a full repaint.

Here's a picture or two before it went to the shop.

Now the bad news - DS is pushed back 9mm. All the way back at the A pillar. Will know if is repairable next week when their Porsche expert is back.

Not ready to part it out yet. But, that may be where I end up. Sadness.

Sad indeed if you need to part this car.

But unfortunately accidents happen.

Hope you'll be able to save this one.

You optimism has been rewarded.

The DS sway bar mount is is out by 7mm. Tolerance is 5. All the other measurements are within tolerance.

In the past some idiot used the frame as a lift point. Some of the worst I've seen.
