Default 87 stock muffler vs RMB video

So this can be searched easier in the future I closed my other thread as that issue is solved.

Below is a link to a sound comparison of my 87 with the stock muffler then the RMB. H-pipe and no cats.

Start up/idle, then steady 2k, and then blips to 4k.

When I had my 90 GT I removed the cats and had already put an RMB on the car. Sounded great but was way too loud so put the muffler back on. Still had plenty of good sound catless with the stock muffler.

That's the way it should sound. Lovely. One of the best experiences I have is holding second gear with throttle....music to my ears!

Sounds good but can't decide if I want one or not. Mine is de-catted with an x-pipe already. Worry a RMB would be too loud. Here in the UK I see there is the option for a RMB with or without a silencer fitted. The silenced option is tempting.

I don't mind it being loud at all during hard acceleration...I just don't want it to drone at cruising speeds or make it hard to hear the stereo (I know...get a louder one!) or have a conversation. Unfortunately it's difficult to tell that stuff from videos.

It's louder at cruise, but not annoying. But I do have the larger resonators.

When I get on it, it's freakin loud. I love it.

Yes , they are loud! It helps to have distant neighbours.

Love the RMB sound. Had one on the 89 Auto and it sounded great but the rest of the exhaust was stock. Yours sound awesome!

Sounds great. My '87 has completely stock exhaust thought the center resonators, and then a RMB. It has a slightly deeper rumble at idle and is a bit raspier at higher RPM. Just right for me.

Sounds great Adam, I'm hoping to pick up the RMB for my GT. I'm going to keep the CATs on. I just wanted a little more sound. I have to say, that even with the completely stock system on the car, I love the rumble this car gives off at an idle.

Does anyone make an off-the-shelf solution for an '86?
