Default A/c dryer.

Anyone know of a cheaper dryer for my car?

The two of the big three that were open when I called are between 90 and 100 bucks. I'm sure they know who I am. Thank guys. I know ya'll read the board, and I normaly just pay up, but that hurts, I gotta try. Oddly, autozone has it listed for $88 in the store on my way home from school, but who knows if they can deliver? It's not worth it to me.

I already asked them if there was an alternative for the dryer, as I know I have to replace it with a new one, but gee wiz, 90 bucks plus shipping for a dryer? Compared to other cars I've worked on, that is highway robbery. Now I know Porsche parts are more expensive, but I've yet to run it to it till now. I know the water pump looks badly next to a chevy, but look at a Ford sohc mustang unit. (you gotta compare like to like...) and you'll feel better! Or the time belt comapred to a new Ford sohc, almost the exact same price. Dosen't that make you feel better?

Anyways, anyone got a helpful suggestion on the dryer, for a cheaper source, cheaper alternative part, or something?

Thanks.

Got my new Behr that I used for R12 in my 1982 for $35.00 at Parts Bin. Stick with OEM!

928ntslow, where did you get that again?

Not www.partsbin.com, right? Their price is a bit over 100 bucks, worse than nearly everyone else.

I don't know where you go it, but I would love to find out.

Thanks.
