85 ROW 4.7L S2 Long Block - Pricing
Just curious what a ROW 4.7 L long block would sell for these days?
Lets say 108K plus a few track miles with very slight (and I mean very slight) seepage from the oil pan
Anyone in the know?
TIA

Wasn't there also a water pump bolt adventure, anyways I got my spare years ago for cheap. I would say the block not so much but the heads would be valuable to someone wanting to do a 5.0l hybrid. I'm happy I got a spare. my .02

I would probably pay $500 in Europe. Shipping is the killer.
Locally maybe $750 tops if I really needed it.

By long block do you mean with heads or the whole top end with intake and MAF (CIS vs LH a big difference)?
Air filter box would be a plus, no MAF, or worse CIS less.
I don't think of the short block as worth shipping, which is the other big issue, I'd pay a premium for a local motor I could look over and/or potentially work out any issues that turned up easily.
Maybe $1k to $1.5k depending on details, including shipping, but biggest factor I would have to need it now, not as a spare to use maybe some day.

The cams are worth more than the long block - S2 cams probably $1000 for the pair.
4.7L US engine about the same apart from cams.

On a related note, what does a complete 4.7L euro cis engine be worth? If I remember correctly, the FD shouldn't be different from any other FD for other CIS system (US vs euro), right?
thanks
