Noisy lifters once engine is up to temperature

There must be other symptoms associated with piston slap. Smoke, degraded performance, poor gas mileage... The car runs great, sips gas on the highway and responds well to my right foot.
I replaced it all when I did the top end refresh. I only hear the noise at idle - tap the accelerator and it goes away. I think I need to use the mechanics stethoscope to isolate the sound before I go to much farther.
Knowing what I do of the engine's history I can tell you it has never overheated. I looked at the bores when I did the pan gasket. They looked fine from what I could see.
I will report back later. Meanwhile I will continue to drive it like I stole it.

Kevin,
Sorry, I missed the "oil galley pins have been replaced". I would then listen to the cam chains/tensioners next. Really to to localize the noise to see if it is coming from the front of the engine, the cam area, or one of the accessories. Should only take a few min with the stethoscope.

Kevin--
Do you have a stethoscope? Might help to localise the source some.
FWIW, my injectors can sometimes be the noisiest pieces on top of the engine, especially at idle. They sing along in perfect harmony with all the other once-a-revolution noises. Off idle, the rest of the background mechanical noises take over the lead-singer role.

They're in diluted simple green, sitting in an ultrasonic cleaner.
If you take a 100K mile lifter and blow the piston out with compressed air, there's a little shelf above the piston bore- the crap that accumulates in there is impressive.

I am Italian and don't know what it is.
PS: no joke, dunno what it is , I learned recently acronyms like WYAAIT (I knew only WTF , AFAIK, ASAP, PITA....).
if italian tuneup can turn a Porsche into a FIAT you're right : kevin 's car is better in the garage waiting for the right diagnose.

additive - add it to your oil. I will end up draining a quart or so and trying this.

Run the car very hard to blow the built up carbon out. If Kevin's problem is just crud buildup, then it might help. If it's something else...
It might not.
If you mean "Fix It Again, Tony" when you say "turn a Porsche into a FIAT", then you are absolutely right.

I owned a couple of Fiats and I resemble that remark!

Italian tuneup works only for 4 cyl DOHC and V6 Alfa Romeo from 1960-1980 with leaded fuel.Serious.
Joe: yep, I wanted to mean that. bear in mind that modern Fiat are actually getting better.Actually it was impossible to get worse....

what oil filter do you have? I had an Mann filter no problems perfect pressure, three weeks ago i changed the oil and used an oil filter from Mahle (oc46) i saw the difference the spring valve inside the filter is located more in front and not deep as the mann filter. Before i had always 5bar pressure idle cold and after 20 min driving it starts to increase and when the engine was completely hot it holds at 2.2 bar idle with 2500tpm the pressure was 5bar again.
Now we start with 5bar after 5min driving it is increased to 3bar and after 30 minutes its less then 2bar!! and to get back at 5 the engine had to run more then 3300tpm
But i don't hear the lifters.
Your engine is probably an 32v engine i guess. There are a lot lifters
