coud I HAVE pushed a pin out.?
how hard is it to push a pin out from the ce panel while replacing a relay?
I WAS jumpering a fuel pump relay but had to take the ignition and fuel injector relay out to get to the fuel pump relay…after jumping the fuel pump relay, I REPlaced the ignition and fuel injector relay and now pump runs , dash lights up , tach bounces to 3 k like always on start up but acts like no power to turn over the engine…..I Figure I either messed up a relay or pushed a pin off on the back side monkeying around….
what do you guys think???

Do you hear the solenoid in the starter click under your 928 when you try to start it?
If you do and the starter is silent after that, it means it is time to replace or rebuild the starter.
IF you are unsure about having a pin pushed out (which I find very hard to do) pull out the relay and look at the socket to see if all of the pins are there. That is the easiest way to check.

It is possible - you can probably tell from the front with the relay pulled again - you can definitely tell from the back.
If so do not just push it back in... carefully remove it completely (noting the orientation) identify the locking tab/tabs (usually just one). If is is still straight - bend it back out to an angle of approx 20 degrees from the terminal body - then reinsert (an X-Acto knife or scalpel work well for this).
If it's curled up - see if you can straighten it - then as above - if not you will need a new terminal.

the battery was disconnected but i have been known to forget!!! i jumpered all 3 relays and no start still…I will feel really bad if during the last couple of days buttoning things up if I STArted and shut off engine 3 times in one day each running time was 10 min at least but if this is a flooded engine it is a pain to restart….
just in case I have foot to floor cranked for 10 sec, 3 times and still no start….I bet it is going to be fouled plugs now, they are wr 5 and 3 yrs old at that…..boy that would be a pisser !!!
