Default Bulb / led question

Do the bulbs come out of the holders on the instrument panel? The tiny ones? I have broken two trying to remove them from the holder...they seem like blade type, but they are in there good....

Any tips?

I haven't touch the Porsche's but the BMW holder and bulb looks the same and yes I had to use a pick to pull the base of broken bulb out of the holder.

I've seen prices for the little bulbs @ $10 for Porsche while same bulb from BMW supplier is only $2-3.

Ron,
The bulbs are a one piece thing. Obviously they originally were separate pieces, but they must glue them together to make one piece.
Roger sells the bulbs much much cheaper than Porsche

Thanks. I was looking to do an led conversion, but did not want to destroy good bulbs to do so. I found some already mounted in the base...a little pricey, but I guess I will go with those..I have several of the porsche ones, from 4 pods.

I did the LED conversion in the Stepson in steps. I did the illumination part first and loved the change. The next part was a major PITA since LED's are polarity specific. I ended up installing and removing the pod numerous times to "turn around" the LEDs to correct the polarity direction. I also couldn't make the turn signal work correctly with a standard replacement LED. I ended up replacing the LED for that with a standard replacement bulb.
