Default 928 Essential Short List

As you know I hate searching message boards because they s**k at search. I thought it would be nice to have a thread with posts from anyone who cared to contribute to list the top N products, parts and upgrades for the 928.

To make searching better and easier if everyone who posted used a TITLE form of : "928 Essential Short List of Products:" or "928 Essential Short List of Upgrades:" or "928 Essential Short List of Resources:" . Following by a bulleted list. E.g:

"928 Essential Short List of Products: PK..., Real Gask..."
  • PK... details
  • Real Gask... details

"928 Essential Short List of Upgrades: 90mm Throttle body, S4 Brembo Brakes"
  • 90mm TB details including Rennlist cross link if you have it
  • S4 Brakes details including Rennlist cross link if you have it

"928 Essential Short List of Resources: PET

This is not for bashing or plugging vendors so please don't indulge otherwise this thread is useless. However you should state the source of the products/parts. Keep your post to the above form only with information pertinent to the listing. There should be no commentary outside of the post. If an improvement or change needs to be made to a post that is of real importance PM or email the person who made the post.

If everyone feels this is useless or it exists elsewhere (caveat emptor: I searched and did not find) then tell me to shove off and I will delete this thread.

Cheers,

Fronkensteen

Yeah that works to a certain extent but as is true with any GOOG search - lots of noise (note the pictures). And it still doesn't address the very thing that is happening now - off topic.

This is supposed to be a succinct short list of info. Anyway...

Cheers,

Each of these is a matter of opinion and not based in any fact. While you may like these, and I do some of them also, I'd not call any of them 'must haves'. What we don't want to happen is some new person to 928's discovering this thread and thinking it is a group consensus and he really needs to do these things.

Essentials are everyone recommending that the fuel hoses get changed etc.

The only essential to me is the 928 itself!

^^^This. I think the essentials thread already exists at the FAQ at the top of the forum.
