Pre Roadtrip Service
I am about to go on vacation. I will be driving over 1400 mi, in pure 928 luxury. I am going to Pensacola Florida, and don't want to get stuck on the side of the road, it's just too hot. Any one have any good tips or service pointers on thing i should do to keep my shark happy. I was thinking of flushing and filling my coolant, change the oil, check the airfilter, the standard stuff. If anyone out there is in the pensacola area, we'd (fiance and i) love to get together. We'll be down there from this Sunday to next sunday 9-16.
BTW I have an 89 Auto
Thanks Guys

Some have joked about getting a trailer to haul the parts and tools that might be needed for a roadtrip.
You'd be surprised at how quick things can get fixed. I recetly needed a hose at noon in small town Wisconsin and it was there by 11 the next morning. They'd patched the old one and I was going in the meantime.
I'd toss some fuses in the glove box and go. If I had more time maybe get the fuel pump relay or bring a wire to jumper it. OK maybe a voltmeter.
This would be the time to know there are no original hoses in the car and it has been maintained well.

The car has been well maintained, and i bought it with relatively low miles, 83,xxx. I live in Indiana, and i drove it to North Carolina for Sharks in the Mountains with no issues. I have faith in the car...... as long as I have my cell phone. Just kidding, i have had no reliablity issues so far, and can dispute any "air/oil cooler" inspired controvercy about 928 durability.
Thanks
