I got tired of looking at my dinged up spoiler and grill, this was an inherited issue from my PO, you can also spot a chunk of oil pan corner missing.
I put Carl's protection plates on a few years ago to avoid further carnage.
Unfortunately, the more I pulled off the more busted parts I found...why is that always the case?
I have some parts on order, but apparently the drivers front splash guard is NLA. Had to do some pretty insane fabrication, LOL.
Also found a ground point I had never gotten around to cleaning.
Actually with the grill off I could get to some stuff pretty easily, I guess I should have done this sooner.![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
So one question thus far: The apex of the chin spoiler has three holes. I did not see any hardware on mine, nor did I see any pictured for those holes on my PET diagram. If I push apex of spoiler back far enough I could anchor it, but then it is misshapen.
Also, I have a bracket with threads on it in front of the Aux. fan that is not doing anything.
Can some body tell me about this or maybe a pic of how it should look when correctly but together.
Many Thanks.

the 3 holes you describe will line up with the bottom of the 3 grill support brackets then a screw is applied to the bottom of the bracket

I have a 20 foot (looks good twenty feet away at night) chin spoiler on my car, aluminum bracing, rivets, gorrilla tape, and plastidip are like makeup for the shark. ![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)

Thanks you guys.
I did not anticipate my supercar would be held together by rivets, tape, JB Weld, and sheet metal; but watcha gonna do?.
Stan thanks for the tip, I will try and post an "after" pic when I get it buttoned up.
Hey another question for the forum: The seal around the splash guard is gone. What did that look like, or what was it made of? So I can fabricate that as well.

It would have been interesting to see if it could have been restored.

Looks very good to me! I'd say better then spending $450 plus, on a replacement spoiler. I do like the chin spoiler on the Ssss, makes it look mean IMHO.
Makes we want to remove my front license plate.![cherrsagai](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/drink.gif)
Is front end lower then stock or just the angle of the picture?

ps... the front plate screw holes are plugged with Passat interior screws that have plastic snap on caps.

Looks very good I commend your efforts. I decided to relapce my spoiler years ago and it is still in perfect shape. But I admit to adding significant protection for it.

The Splitter provides support fot the bottom of the spoiler and protects it fron damage from below. But I have do to be careful near parking abutments.
