Default Cool Engine Temp Information.

Guys,

Just looking for knowledge on the subject as I've seen it mentioned several times.
What can a low temp result from, and result in ?

Thermostat stuck open. Bad gauge sender. One of the two. I would check the engine temp at the water bridge with an IR gun to make sure the gauge and reality mesh

My car is fine. I just wanted to have a better understanding in what results if running cool - purely an academic sort of thing. I did find a good thread on it.
