It was requested /suggested that we have our key machine available Saturday to make copies of keys for those who would like one . We plan to do so . It is best to have the car here to test the copy , if you have more than one key bring them all so we can copy the best one . It is nice to see all the interest in this SOCAL , PCA , event . John Veninger the PCA 928 technical adviser was among the first to suggest such an event then the SOCAL group quickly jumped in to make it a reality . We are fortunate to have a really good smoked barbecue restaurant just across the street from 928 International so I guarantee that the Saturday lunch we plan to have catered will be outstanding ; brisket , turkey breast , smoked sausage , ribs ! I have to go now ..........time for some " take out "

Ok, thanks, Randy.

Until then, people can always get the latest status from:
Sharktoberfest Info

You will be able to call the hotel for reservations by Friday. I will post info. as soon as it is available.

Thanks for the info. Jim! I didn't know if it was OK to make that bit of information public. And, so it is! Don't miss the BBQ, gang.

YES Jim you are correct...aside from the rear engine the 928 and 996 are very very similar Porsches in many ways.

Drum roll......Yes Jim, I am considering it. Last time I was in Cali was when I met up with you, Dan and Keith in Laguna around 8/01. I might even be able to keep my political trap shut once I'm outside the influence of the Beltway. :-) Schedule permitting and if I can get my frequent flier miles to land a ticket out Friday evening and back by Sunday night, I'm game. Is John Wayne the better Airport to go into?

Regards,
JE

...um, so should I like tow it there? Or maybe tie it to the top of the chevy?

While my goal to get the 89 up and running is quite audacious, I am unsure if October is remotely doable.

... I will park the chevy across the street and walk over. No need to see teh carnage of that car.

Hey John..leave your politics at the house...we have our own Circus, I mean issues to deal with in this state.

I think our new future state moto may be..."Com wit me if yo wan tu leev!"

Unfortunately, we already HAVE/had a terminator who is getting the pointy end of a boot.

(Sorry for the OT)

J. E. the most convenient airport is John Wayne and only 5 minutes from my house 20 minutes to the shop / hotel depending on traffic !! LAX is quite a bit farther away and potentially more traffic . But has far more flights to select from . If you do not mind sleeping with the dogs I have a "spare room" for Friday evening that you are welcome to use ( and there is a good Tai resturant near by ) . Saturday I may just rent a room at the hotel given the lack of humor that California has about drinking (.08 % limit) and driving . Why is it that I think there must be a "lounge" at the Marriot ?? where many issues of great importance can be discussed long into the night . This is starting to sound a lot like a "Frenzy" . Do Pacific and Atlantic sharks really behave similarily ??
