Default Need information I had before

A year or two ago I asked for instructions on how to put permanent pictures of our 928 in all of our correspondence. You guys have pictures in the thread title on the left side as well as below the text. I got answers but I've been waiting for the pass at Medicine Bow Peak to open so now I've got the pictures and I can't find the thread that had all the instructions. Hate to ask for more info but that's what I'm doing.

Barney,
To get a picture in your 'Avatar' on the left, you need to go to 'User CP' (control panel) and select Edit Avatar. Follow the cues to add your own image from its source (most likely your computer hard drive).
To add image to your 'Signature' (stuff below the line), go to 'User CP' select Edit Signature and select what you want to do/add.

Barney,

In addition to the good advice above, for your avatar picture on the left, you will need to reduce the size of the picture by using editing software on your computer, prior to uploading, to get the final size you want showing. Notice how different members have different size pics. My avatar has been reduced to 249x 167 pixels, just so you have an idea.

Tip: If you want to go looking for something you posted a while back, or a thread you posted in, click on your user name 'Bjbpe' which will show a drop down list, then click on 'find more posts by Bjbpe'

Finally ... this will probably get moved to the the Rennlist Member Help Forum, where you can always go looking for this sort of help. If this thread eventually shows as 'moved', this is where it will have been moved to.

Dave makes a good point on image size.
If your not sure what size 'to make' your image, you can start be simply uploading it along the cues given by 'Edit' function you are in and you will then have two options in the buttons to choose from. One is 'Save' and the other is 'Preview'. 'Save' is final - to undo you have to go through the Edit routine again. "Preview' will present it exactly how it is going to look. If you like it 'Save' it. If image needs size adjusting you will have an idea of how much to reduce/edit things.

You guys are great! Marie and I took a fathers day ride up to the Snowy Range pass today (elevation 11,003) and just below Medicine Bow Peak (elevation a bit over 12,000). Still very substantial snow up there in what has been a huge winter.

I'm originally from the Keweenaw peninsula in the far northern tip of the upper peninsula of Michigan; with the exception of Alaska, the only place where you have to drive south to get to Canada (you can go north by boat or plane but if you are going to drive you have to go south to Wisconsin and Minnesota and then north).

Anybody from that neck of the woods knows what heavy snow is - my home town record is 398 inches - but the pass above us sure looks like mid-winter. I hope to have the pictures in some time soon. If you are curious, you can look at a map of Wyoming - Medicine Bow peak is about 35 miles to the west of Laramie. Our home is in Centennial, an old mining town and now pretty much of a ski and snowmobile resort.

Barney,

We'd love to see some pictures of your area also. If you go to User CP you can also go down the list and click on 'Pictures and Albums', where you can add an album with a title and upload photos to it. If you click on my profile you'll see I have a few albums, including one showing the area where I live. You could do the same if you want.

Randy:
Refresh my memory. Were you the guy from Sault Saint Marie down in the more southern part of the UP?
