Default Hot air help

I need some quick help on shutting off the hot air in the cabin. With everything closed and the fan off Im still getting hot air flowing through the top and bottom vents. I plan to tear into the system in the near future and fix the issue using Dwaynes write-up, but Im hoping there is a quick fix to get me to that point. 83 degress outside and roasting air on the inside is noooooooo fun.

I would try to tie wrap the heather valve off (near the throttle body) so no coolant would circulate through the HVAC.

Heater valve probably stuck open, could be for many reasons, but quick band-aid is to use a piece of wire or tie-wrap to hold the heater valve at the back of the block in the closed position. Come back later and figure out why the vacuum is not closing the valve, as its default position with no vacuum is open - and heat !

Just did this today on my 86 after getting a/c recharged - now it really blows cold without mixing in hot air
