Looks great. Might you have other pics of the car and interior. I wrecked my '87 944S/968 conversion this winter and Have been reading all I can about the 928. I think I probably am now more educated on the 928 than I was in to 20 years of owning my 944. I may be getting an OB soon. Infact a white '78. The seller says the ball joints have NOT been done. Might you have any idea what parts cost and hours labor might be involved to complete this all important maintenance? Any "While you're at it" suggestions would be helpful too.

factory lower ball joints were aluminum and should be replaced asap. My car had them with 56K on them...

That looks so nice - will you still drive it, or put it into a museum?

I'mso jealous! The plating company I always use refused to do the calipers because according to them the plating won' stick on Porsche calipers, so I painted them.

I still regret not treating the hats on zimmermans I installed back 10 years ago..... Some day when all the other mechanical backlog on the farm is up to date (for the next 5 minutes) I will pull the rotors and get the hats painted. Nice job. Brakes on these cars are a fun and easy science project, for sure!

yes. on the pad surfaces the coating will wear off with braking. the coating is thin. Might need to replace my pads soon tho.

the coating I had done was clear zinc. then I painted in clear the hats to make the finish last longer. the calipers and backing plates also.
