Seams to me you have problems with your Warm-Up Regulator or cold-start injector.

To check the WUR pressure, you will need a CIS Tester and follow it's test procedure to determine where exactly the problem is.

We need to know if your car is running too rich or too lean... it's difficult to diagnose without proper diagnose tools.

Do you have access to some CIS tester or CO emission tester?

To learn how your injection system works, try read this from page 110: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.p...showentry=2520

The CIS injection uses fuel pressure to control the mixture. The warm up pressure regulator actually is the control pressure regulator and does far more than just help with a cold engine. It compensates for full throttle acceleration, changes in altitude it is the "brains" of a brainless system. When the control pressure regulator takes a dump....the car make no power it may only run at idle speed ..step on the gas and it dies. You can try adjusting it which requires bending parts or get a replacement but it MUST be for a USA spec not European....
