Would the dash Pod from an 85 fit an 89 S4?
They both look the same.

If the 89 is a non air bag car, yes.

I think Robb is absolutely correct--the 85 pod will "fit" the 89. However, contrary to the suggestion that "they look alike" they are not the same. There are two versions of the pods earlier than the air- bag dashes. I checked my 85, which I am pretty sure has the original pod, and it has a version of the pod that is different from the one in the 89. The difference is in respect to the recess for the ignition key. I am not sure when it started, but probably with the S4, but the recess for the key in the later version of the earlier pod is quite a bit larger than in the earlier version. I am sure they are interchangeable from a fit standpoint but they are different a bit.
