944/928 part crossover question?
Anyone know definitively if an alternator from a 87 944 16v will fit and work correctly on an 87 928s4?

If it fits and has same amp output then it should. Lots of BMW alt are compatible with multiple models. They're all Bosch.

They both use Bosch AL170X.
