Default Catalytic converter temp monitor and air pump removal question

Hello,

Does my 1991 S4 has a catalytic converter temp monitor?
It's a Canadian car. Original exhaust system with RMB.

I ask this question because I'm thinking not to put back my air pump and don't want to get any warning on the dash.

Have any of you removed the air pump on cars with digital dash and stock system?

Any problem doing this?

Thanks in advance.

C36 Canadian car originally sold in CA, or LHD Japanese import? If the former, there's no temp monitor. I don't know anything about the cat temp sensor setup on the Japanese cars, but at the very least all digidashes (well, based on an n of 3...)have a bulb slot labelled 'cat'. Not sure what happens if you stick a bulb in the socket.

No harm to the cats to run without running the air pump, AFAIK.

There are only 11 Canadian '91 S4 Autos, holler if you don't already have your option codes.

You don't need an airpump - the emissions results without are just fine. Doesn't change anything except cat warm-up time.

For the red Strosek Ultra (1991 S4) I have removed the air pump and converted it to the non catalytic version. The idle mixture or CO-level is adjusted using a potentiometer sitting at the computer in front of the passenger footwell. Recently I did an adjustment and set the CO-level to 1,5%. The car is running very good, idling is stable.
