You'll notice I was unfazed by the drool. Pretty good sign you're dealing with a father of three....

Nice to see everyone!

Yes Mark but you were the only one who pedaled their bicycle 100 miles just to get there....pretty awesome.

Great visit with a great group. Possible Future Owner Rich stopped by to get opinions on a possible purchase, then went on to Greg's to get the real scoop. Jake and his daughter, Ed from Pittsburgh, Rob, Mark, and Jim Bailey whom I hadn't seen in a while. Got caught up on some stuff, enoyed the company plus a great sandwich (thanks Rob!).

I think we have maybe the best group of car cult members of any that I've experienced so far. Visits big or small are always a pleasure.

Fantastic visit - great to meet and see everyone in person - Dr Bob, Jim B, Jake and his cute little 3 year old Allie, Rob, shark hunter Rich (let's find him a good one guys), and Mark. Amazing with just a few days notice, a gathering takes place, and its like old friends. Loved seeing and touring 928 International and meeting Tom. Found some good NLA parts fro my refresh job - love that place! Yes, as Jim said, Mark literally bicycled 100 miles today up into the mountains, and he looked none the worse for the wear!
Happy trails all, and Rob, the next beer is on me!

Ed, just for posterity, this is why I was stylin' in the minivan today, rather than the GTS:

Sorry I missed the meet. Was planning to go but got caught up in my hunt for the cam gear replacement. Hope to make the next meet.

Any of you come to the Irvine Cars and Coffee?

Holy crap Rob - that is a wild looking set up. I can't wait to see pictures of the eventual finished project.
I never did make it to Greg's - must have drove past the shop and missed it, and by the time I realized that, I was far up Orange Thorpe, and traffic was crazy, and it was near 6 pm. If you are
reading this Greg, sorry I missed you. Did Rich get good adviceon finding a car? The black 16k mile car that Mark mentioned sounded like one to look at.

Yes, sorry I could not make it.....and sorry you didn't stop by (I'm almost always here until at least 7pm.) 3pm on a Friday turns out to be a really tough time to get away, when people are trying to get their cars back, on Friday.

Rich did stop by. He's really excited about finding a decent 928. He will be a welcome addition to the 928 group. He's been following Rennlist for a long time...and knows volumes about these vehicles, already.

Mi amigos,

I had a GREAT time hanging out with you all, and sharing the Shark camaraderie...I'm down for any other socal get togethers if I'm in town...

Also really enjoyed my first of many pilgrimages to Doc Brown's...lots of great hometown hospitality and advice to consider...I could have stayed for hours listening to the Tao of Greg...

I'll let you guys know how the shark hunting goes, and hope to get behind the wheel soon...

Cheers!
Rich

Gonna be warmer this week than last, high 80's to high 90's but should be low humidity. Are you flying or driving? I still need to get to 928 Int'l for a few parts, since by the time we were done at Blakes, the doors across the street were already closed. Got more details on your schedule? When you do, post back here and I'll adjust as much as I can.

I lost track of where your red S4 is as of a few years ago, by the way. Last time I saw Stephen was going to get the '85 Euro from over towards Ontario for James M. in Texas. He was threatening to get a Honda Fit and move everything to their property in New Mexico.
