Is there any way to get the VIN, and can you do online bidding at Mecum? Hmmm. (My current car came out of nearby Fort Wayne, IN, so I already know my way back home
)

Mecum takes telephone bids sign up ahead of time prove you have $$$ bank letter etc. ....just remember the added buyers fees. Also possible state sales tax if you personally pickup the car instead of having a commercial shipper deliver.

Mecum and Barrett-Jackson typically do not get the high dollars on cars out of the mainstream like the 928.
Right around $27K is my guess. Is there a reserve set on it?

Its redline is 6500 - I think that means it is a GT. Anyone?

This car is really a dog, nobody should even look at it or comment further, let it die a quiet death. Heh. Heh.

Good chance the OWNER will end up bidding on it to avoid selling it for less than what he thinks it is worth......happens all the time on no reserve cars basically "protecting" it, they still pay the fees...So the auction house wins. Mecum always has a lot of dealers at their sales as they will provide free rooms, registration etc. for active buyers.....much like getting comps in Vegas
And yes I have been to their auctions.

It also appears they jack up the buyer's fee from 8% to 10% for absentee bidders. You also have to declare a max bid amount and give them 20% of that up front to play...

Pretty nice looking 928 there. My dad and I are planning to go just to look at some nice cars and have some fun. What's a good price for something like this? I at first thought I could afford it then realized 16k Miles!! Pricey I'm sure.
