Default Project Auction Find. Instead of parting I will do some work!

Have tried to sell this for a while. I get a lot of calls and no shows. Lol. I went to an auction last year and impulse bought this car cause it ran on starter fluid and sounded pretty nice. It also is really clean body wise. The miles were proven to be at 67,000 too. Interior was done on a very toasty sun dried beef jerky level though.
I have always loved the 928 as well but never owned one before. Had done work on about 4 of them at various points. I was impressed with the engineering. So I have decided to do a lot of work to it and bring it back on the forum here.
I have a shop and I fabricate custom lines and specialize in automotive plumbing.
I could probably help with providing things you guys might need. One of the first things I am going to do is the fuel pump that was missing. It was missing the bracket and everything.

Here are some starting pictures. If any one wants stainless braided brake lines I can do them for $145.00 a set. I'll post a sample picture later after I make them for this car.
The last two picks are the fuel pump mounted with the bracket we made.

Doesn't look like too bad of a project. Hope it starts right right up after the fuel pump install. Are there records for a recent timing belt change?

No. The mileage wasn't ready for it and it appears to have sat for years. I will be doing one as I wouldn't trust rubber that old.

Passenger side rear drop link is bent - You will need to replace that.

There is a lot needing replaced. Michigan, especially the Detroit area has been plagued with potholes. The steering column feels loose too. So I will be rebuilding these things. I plan to do how to posts as I get to them as well. My hope is people enjoy them and get some use out of them. Then later I hope to get an 87 and do the same thing.

Welcome! What's the engine? 4.5L K-jet judging by the lack of 928S spoiler on the hatch.

You'll find it worthwhile to spend a couple of hours removing and cleaning up the electric panel fuse and relay contacts.

Does it run with the fuel pump installed now?

It was missing the rubber line from the tank filter to the pump. So I ran down to the Porsche dealer parts counter and ordered one today. Should be in in a couple of days. When it runs I'll post a YouTube video link of it.

Would more than happy to. But I also make and sell stainless braided brake line and clutch lines for the 928. So I am hoping to be a vendor for automotive plumbing someday.
