Default engine stand bolts?

Hello, does anyone know the sizes for bolts I need to mount a S4 engine on an engine stand?

Really long M12 x 1.5 mm (fine pitch) bolts. Probably easier to buy a 3 foot length of M12 x 1.5 threaded rod and cut it to length, depending on the length of your stand's standoffs.

Post a picture of your engine stand and I'll tell you how long they need to be.

The comedy writes itself:

I wouldn't buy a stand with a max rating of 750 lbs for a top-heavy, 530 lb 928 motor. It'll be tippy and a general PITA to work with. Get something with at least four wheels.

not sure if you got the link but it is the Duralast/750 lbs. engine stand. I am going to buy it once I find what kind of bolts I would need.

Is there a Harbor Freight near you?

10 bucks cheaper, 250 lbs stronger, same quality construction.

You will not be able to find M12 x 1.5 bolts long enough to work with that stand. Get a 3 foot section of M12 x 1.5 threaded rod and cut to length.

Nope, they won't have it since it's fine pitch. You need to find a good industrial supply hardware store. I got mine at McFadden-Dale for about $25.

McMaster has it but it's expensive:

It's gotta be 1.5mm pitch. That's an odd pitch for M12 bolts. If you go to a hardware store, you'll find that 1.5mm pitch is neither fine nor coarse...it's in between.
