Not for me, I'm an early riser, but I'll check with the rest of the gang and see what they'd like to do. Any idea on how you're traversing Manhattan?

Early riser? You were heading out later I thought. Taking the Lincoln tunnel to Turnpike. I was going to take the Holland tunnel but I heard there is bridge work in Jersey City.

My alarm goes off at 3:55am so pretty early, unfortunetly the gang wants to hold to our original 6am meet so hopefully we'll see you there. Thanks for the offer, and thanks for the warning re the bridges. Lincoln or holland doesn't matter, make some space between you and the car in front of you, roll downs the windows, and punch it Few things will bring more of a smile to your face than that

We're heading out Friday after work, we should be there around dinner time.

Cat and I should be in. We'll have our daughters with us, and they're no fun, so I'm not sure how much staying out we'll be doing.

Working on a reservation now. I'll still be the odd man out, though: The whole fam dambly is coming and we're picking up a large area rug from the in-laws Sunday, so we'll be in the Cayenne. And, anyway: Stitch isn't ready for the trip.

Please let us know if you'd like to join us and where along the route you'd be meeting us. Also, for those of us coming from LI please let us know if you have any opinion on which bridge or tunnel system you'd prefer to use to cross into NJ. I know pot holes have been a problem this year and with many of us running 4" to 6" ride height this can be a real issue, so any insight you can offer will be a big help.
I am in! I'd love to pick up the LI crew on the way. I assume you are taking the turnpike to 78? I am in North Jersey and can pick you up anywhere along 78. There's a scenic turnoff in Bridgewater around exit 33 that would be perfect. All I need is a (very) approximate time you'll be driving by.

Oh, and yes the Pulaski Skyway issue. What a mess. It's only the northbound (to NY) lanes that closed, however, so I imagine you would have more trouble getting back then getting there. But who knows, Jersey traffic patterns are a mystery rivaling the pyramids.

Default Please check for 78/79 center console bezel

I wish I could attend. If any of you come across a pristine 78/79 center console trim bezel (928 552 047 04) I'd appreciate it if you would either pick it up for me (I will pay very well for one in pristine condition) or put the seller in touch with me (e.g., get their contact info and PM me). Mine was cut for the larger radio and looks awful with my original radio (see pic below).

OK. I'm going to map it out exactly and I'll let you know what time we'll be there. Do you have a two-way radio? If so we'll be on channel 9-28 (of course).

I don't have a two-way radio, unfortunately. I will PM you my cell number and you can text me if we get messed up. I mapped it out from the LIE and it should take about an hour and a half to get to exit 33 of Route 78. You're driving 928s, so I'm guessing I better be there early.

Default swap items

it would be nice for everyone to post what they want to swap and what they have for hershey.

many of us dont have a lot of space in the car, and we are private owners so we can bring up only a handful of items if other rennlisters need them.

i noted that one owner wanted a center console in earlier post.

i will put up that i have a 87 crankshaft i will bring up if someone is interested you can pm me for price etc.
