Waking up the SilverBulit
So,
5 years ago I put her in a storage shed and drove her about once a week. Work and kids, traveling, etc turned in to once every 2, then once every 3 or 4.
Then, the battery died... I said I'd come charge the battery up, 2 weeks turned to a month, turned to a year, turned to 5 years....
The last 5 years I've concentrated on the GTS, getting her up to speeed so the SilverBulit has been on the back burner. Finally, it took my brother talking to Sean and setting up a morning to come get her and get her back on the road.
We pushed her out of storage this morn, flat spots on tires but still air in them.
Got her on the trailer and Sean is now in charge of Waking her up..
She's had a car cover on her and hasn't seen the light of since we tucked her away. Still pretty clean with only dust on her. I doubt Sean will even get his hands dirty while he works on her.
Really excited about getting her back on the road as I haven't driven an OB since she went to sleep.
Will Chronicle her "Awakening" on this thread so I'm hoping Sean posts pics as well. (Hint Hint Sean)
I've had her since 1995, bought her from my dad who owned her her since 82.
Still in good shape w 65K on the ODO, just needs some TLC.
Here's a few pics from this morn.

Glad you got it out and I look forward to seeing it! Sean will get her going.
Would love to drive an OB to see how they compare to the later cars.

Well Thank God!! Finally the Jimster is gonna get his own ride at the gatherings. Chuck, I almost promise that I won't give you much more grief over the fate of the Silver Bulit!

Had to start on it the traditional Chuck way yesterday with a girly beer. Roger came over for a few hours so we could tinker with it.
Car looks fantastic, barely any dust on her.
Going to have some fun with this one this week, it was the first 928 my daughter fell for back in 2006.

Good to see her getting back into circulation.
Has it been that long since you did the brake swap tech session?
That's first drive is going to be a fun one!
