I will be making a split outlet rear exhaust for two long time customers and could be convinced to make a couple more if there is a need. Contact either Roger, Carl or myself if you are interested. I do not have any idea as to cost yet, it's still in the design phase but it will certainly be less expensive than the Supersprint. The first design will be compatible with my cat back system. Once I get that done I will see if it's feasible to convert it to the factory cat back.

Looks great for S4 use. Love it! Question, how do automatic trans lines run on S4?


In that overall configuration, for anybody with a pre-S4, be sure you are comfortable with heat shielding and proximity to transmission lines and fill reservoir.
The early cars had rubber trans lines just above the passenger side muffler and no heat shield fitted.


I've built a similar one for an 84 that uses magnaflow mids in a configuration called same side offset that might fit better than those mids.
Its on an 84 5 speed car now. On the 84 automatic I worried about fire.

Landseer: In a perfect world, the split exhaust system that Ketchmi might build would mimic the "plug and play" aspect of the one from SuperSprint and only involve the final dual-outlett resonator with the extension/crossover piece to the passenger side.
That way nothing else would be affected other than a mounting system devised (like SuperSrint did) and perhaps minimal heat shielding by the gas tank for the passenger side outlet.

I can never decide if I like the look. Always seems odd to see pipes out both sides. I'm on the fence.


Maybe i get hung up on the molding of the rear bumper. Who does that fabrication? I wouldn't know where to start.

Pappy: Of course, dual pipes out of each side would look even cooler, but I don't want to scare off Ketchmi if he's willing to do this. It's always looked off-sided (to me) with the tailpipes just coming out on one side. Everything else on the 928 is symetrical and balanced except for this one area. Most good body shops would be able to cut and heat form the opening to match.

White Lightning: I have had the same side skirts as you sitting in a box for a year, The bodyside moulding delete has already been done, the areo mirrors are waiting to be installed and I have a GTS bumper cover and reflector waiting to be modified to accomodate the split exhaust and rear bumperettte delete. I've already done the rear wing and wiper delete and will do a headlamp washer and front & rear side marker delete too. Then it will finally go for a full re-spray in late spring-early summer. Then a full leather dash/pod/F&R consols/rear interior wings, etc., refreshed supple leather seats and new carpet sitting my basement will go in after I change all the lighting to LED and put a new double din receiver with GPS.

Most mechanicals including intake refresh, injectors,wires, sensors, WP, TB, Porkensioner, OPG, MM, TT clamp, fuel pump, fuel lines & water hoses, radiator, x-pipe with cat & airpump delete, shocks, Eibach springs, drilled rotors, calipers rebuilt, new rear axles, wheel bearings, H-4s, 18" wheels are done. Oh yeah, my PSD is also being replaced and the rear AC is being deleted too .

Lots of $$$ done, lots of $$$ to do and then when its complete I will have spent 30K (easily) on an automoble that might be worth 15-20K (maybe).

Love the look of a dual exhaust but not the price on the supersprint so i'm building it myself.
I'm doing a full respray on my S4 and i'm going to add a dual exhaust and delete rubstripes/bumperettes..

that would be my biggest concern and has always kept me from pursuing it. My car is due for paint pretty soon and it is one thing I will look into.

The dual set up looks good I think.

Ditch the rear bumperettes and stick some pipes out there?

It's very well executed on the white S4, assuming it could be repeated to the same quality it does look good I think - different, but good.

Ketchmi: I've been in contact with Roger on the twin exhaust system. I suspect he'll be talking with you on the marketability and quantity of a limited run of the systems. I look forward to seeing this happen.
