Nice job. I agree with your approach. See the problem. Gather information regarding solutions. Figure out what I can do to fix it. Try my best to fix it. Move on.

looking for a source for powder coating 89 928gt intake,valve covers I'm in nor cal. looking to get those
parts back to oem. Any help would be great.

Try Lomas Motorsports of Utah, they will ship you finished if they have it in stock and you return your covers as cores.

PR- send them to Legend Garage in Austin, TX. He does a job second to none, and he knows 928s. He (if I recall correctly) only powder coats 928 parts, so he knows the vagaries of powder coating and outgassing magnesium, etc.
