Default Porsche recomended racing modifications

Who has a copy of the somewhat cryptic list of things to do if you are going to track a 928. Was from a "factory" contact and as I recall was posted here at one time.

I don't think KJC was ever able to track the video down. It would sure be nice to see what information it contained.

Given that this letter was from 20 years ago it might be good to finally get the comments translated into English.

Interesting that they replaced the drain-back check valves in the cylinder heads with pressure limiting valves from the 944. Based on the text it seems keeping oil pressure to the heads below 3 Bar helped prevent oil loading under the cam covers and helped prevent oil starvation (along with some "aluminum sheets") in the oil pan.

Just trying to figure out WHY Kibort has not blow up his Holbert 5 liter or the Rennlist sponsored stroker. The same heads were used . Also why his oil pressure seems higher at hot idle. Why his intake never gets flooded with oil.

This was tech information from Porsche so I have to think they KNEW they had problems...

Here is another letter I have which refers to attachments, one of which is oil control, but there are only the suspension settings appended ...the rest are missing, unless they're referring to the 94 letter details?? I also had this German article in my folder with this letter along with the two Jarrod posted.

Letter, 928 GT Cup

Page 2, suspension
English comments: Probably as [illegible] as the [illegible]
Carrera Cup Wheel

Page 4, oil return valve
6. Ball seat ([illegible]metal sleeve, pressed in)
Remark: when replacing [with] pressure reduction valve (partnr. 944. 107.139.00) the ball seat must aslo be removed! Make a suitable pulling tool.
Inside diameter of ball seat sleeve appr. 8 mm.
Prevent metal fillings from entering oil channel.

Page 5, oil pressure reduction valve
Side effect: less oil in cylinder head, which means higher oil level/volume in the oil pan(!), important for the 928 because [it has] two cylinder heads.

Modification: instead of the 928 factory oil return valve the 944S oil pressure reduction valve is installed.
it is important to remove the ball seat so that the oil pressure reduction valve can be installed.
