Any St. Louis folks headed to the Kemp, Porsche Show in Chesterfield this Sunday? May also try to make the Westport Plaza deal on Sat. AM.

Not a 928 owner just yet, but when I finally find mine, I have a nephew currently living in Ballwin that I plan on visiting from time to time for a game of golf. I was just there a couple of weekends ago to watch him race his late model Mustang GT SCCA. I doubt they'd mind a few 928's showing up now and then to either watch or get in on the tire shredding.

The collection inside is pretty interesting as well.
I know the show is every two years, I participated in the last one.
Good representation of all ages Porsche.
Heavy on the newer cars.
Some 356 always seems to win best in show...of course.
I remember a bone stock, low mile 944 in Guards Red won our age class last time. Not to seem like sour grapes, but I remember thinking: Ok, how many red 944's are there in the world? Five million?

Only saw one 928....black...looked just like yours Dave...
Gonna try to talk the wife into going this Sunday.

Hey y33trekker...call me any time and I will show you my machine....314-749-3396/Cell
Crumpler/Dadddio, I think I have decided to just do the Westport Cars & Coffee deal on Sat. I don't think my shark is ready for the Kemp show...not yet.

This Saturday, September 20th, will be the first St Louis Cars & Coffee to be held at Westport Plaza in Maryland Heights off of 270 & Page. We will be in the south lot at the intersection of Westport Plaza Drive and Westline Industrial, in front of the PARIC office building. 8:00AM to 10:00AM.
Westport management is very excited for the event; two of the guys are big car nuts themselves, and will hopefully be attending with their own classics! Their main concerns are not things that we have ever had an issue with in the past at Rock Hill, so I don't anticipate any problems. But I do want to stress that they ask that we be respectful of their property, in particular trash and littering. Clean up your mess! Absolutely no parking in handicapped spaces, and be mindful for a few weekend workers at the adjacent office buildings.
Lastly, the Starbucks Westport location played an integral part in making this happen and getting the right people from Westport management to give the final OK on this. Without their support, Cars & Coffee would have been a harder sell to get set up. We have good choices between Starbucks, Mcdonalds and Bread Co, but please keep this aspect in mind if you plan on grabbing a morning brew
Westport is going to be a stellar venue, guys and girls--a fantastic central location, a very large parking lot with room to expand, three nearby choices for coffee and breakfast, and no retailers upset that we took their parking spots. Let's have a great time--see everyone Saturday morning!!!

OK, looks like Westport and Kemp and on the schedule for this weekend. Any other St. Louis 928's going to be at either? I will try to save a spot if I know.

That sounds great, I like coffee almost as much as my 86.5.
I had heard some folks talking about this event in Rock Hill and was curious about going.
Unfortunately, I have to work Saturday. Hopefully, I can get to the next one.
You guys have fun and post some pics if you can!
Regards.

Well.
While installing some aero mirrors, I ran in to a little problem.
DS appears as though it was painted with the mirrorinstalled.
The footprint of the flag mirror base was not painted.
Primer only.
Trying my best to make it work and still look good.
Want to make it for C&C but not sure.
Maybe without a PS mirror.
Know somebody who can fix my door paint after I f**k it up.
I'll keep you posted.
By the way, the DS door was painted under the base.
