The non running 928 pickup was $650 from LA to Dallas.
Running Cockney brown was $900 from WA (close to the Canadian border) to Dallas.

Love the car, really dislike the color choices. Makes one wonder why a car with less than 80k miles with this kind of condition was parked in a garage for > 10 years. Something we don't know. Wouldn't stop me from grabbing it up if I were in the market. The paint and int are quite nice. Fixing the elec and mech issues would not slow me down.

Someone in DFW area buy it so we can have a session on it this spring please.

Jim,

How does one perform a PPI if it doesn't run and therefore getting a leakdown % for each cylinder can't be performed? Or since it's just a pressure test the engine doesn't have to run since what's being measured is the percentage of flow pass the rings into the cylinder?
There's also a 79' in the midwest with the same issue's of not currently running but "ran when parked" etc....Between these non-runners
and cars without titles, searching for the right car is a challenge.

Thanks!

Mark

No dash or pod cracks.

Very early AirCon vents.

Those speaker pods look great and custom made for the car. Those can't be some generic off the shelf product. Anyone know who made them?

I like the idea behind the speakers, not the execution so much, but something like that can work well.

I had asked him a few questions and here is the answer on the non running bit.

Doug--

This sounds odd but I will have to look for some of that stuff. I'm trying to catch up on my work and the car isn't my priority. It's in the garage and surrounded by junk which I don't feel like dealing with until it's warmer. I just took a look for you and the gas cap is red.

The engine started until the battery went dead when it was parked in the driveway about 10 years ago. I kept meaning to get a battery but didn't, so we pushed it inside. The engine barely has a small drip. When the car's cold it's sometimes difficult to shift into 2nd. The tires are worn and probably have a flat spot by now.

I think it has the tools, I'll look this weekend for them and records. I bought it from the second owner locally and put about 10,000 miles on it (estimated). It has the original spare and compressor for the spare. The engine looks good.

I'll get some details this weekend for you. I haven't opened its doors for a year or two because of junk in the way.

Thanks.

Well, that's about as honest as it gets.

Mark, sorry for the slow response. Call me when you can. My number is on my website.

Jim,
2 hours from this one.
Shall I turn the Suburban around in the driveway?

I was wondering about your 2 hours comment when you list the "Upper Midwest" as your location...
Wish it was in Chicago!

If I had the space I'd find the money. Assuming it still looks like the pix - a big assumption.
