Default 928 Mechanic near Denver

In need of good 928 mechanic near Denver.

Carl's list shows Eurosport in Arvada. Anyone used them?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Denny

I live about a mile from them and have seen a couple 928s in their yard. I have never used them, but the local guys say they are all right. Mostly I see 911s there.

One local just had some work done by Euroservice and was happy, so try them.

If you need in any help in the northwest Denver area (Arvada), let me know. I'd be happy to help out however I can (not doing the mechanical work, though).

Try Eisenbud's. I have had service done to my 86.5 by Jim, and he knows what he is doing.

Latest word is Eisenbud's doesn't work on 928s anymore. I think they may be air-cooled 911 focused now.

Thanks guys.

Scott, you list MO and CA and you've had work done in Denver. You get around brother! How was Vegas and how is married life?

Matt, would you be willing to drive across town (about 35 miles?) and give me your impression before I spring for a PPI?

Hi Denny,

I am in Colorado every June (all month) for work. California every July (all month) for work. Hence, the different locations. 928s are an important part of both June and July!

Vegas was really fun, although my dad said he was "heartbroken" by the reception. (The food wasn't that good.) He suggested that we give "apology gifts" to all of the guests.

No comment on that.

Married life is great, Alice has her 996, and next weekend we're going to apply Dynamat to the door panels of her Civic. Next project for me may be to change the intermediate shaft bearing of the 996... yuck.

My apologies for the thread hijack.

I wouldn't have time to do it until next weekend. I can't commit. I will know better by midweek if I can do it Saturday.

Hi,

I used to have Stan (Mrmerlin) do a lot of repairs/maintenance for me, but since he's now in PA I've been (slowly) learning how to do some of the minor stuff myself.

Matt (leperboy) did a great job during my TB/WP change. He really knows his stuff and my car is running well.

I've used these guys: http://germanimports.us/ because they are right across the street from the storage area where I keep my 928. So far, so good. Reasonable repair rates, too.

Maybe you and I need to go check out this 928 for Denny. It's on your side of the metro area.

Matt,

Let me know when and where. I'm off tomorrow (Monday), or free next weekend. I can pack up some tools and a camera and we can meet up. I'll get some pics and video for Denny.

Too bad that you missed the Eiskhana (ice driving) up in Georgetown last weekend. Nice weather and lots of cars showed up.

That would be correct. I had a message from Jim saying they don't work on the 928 anymore. He recommended Dart Auto or Autowoks Colorado.

Initial report by Steve (GUTTER-BOY) was positive so I'll work on arranging a PPI with one of the above or maybe German Imports.

I ran an auto check and it came up clean but I don't have much faith in Autocheck or Carfax. The car has supposedly had five owners and spent much of it's life in Michigan. I wonder if anyone on here from MI knows anything about it.

Thanks a ton Steve and Matt. I'll keep you informed on what I decide.

Edit: .PPI is in the works.
