no, it wasnt stock set up. lowered, things removed from the car, different rims and tires (smaller) ... but pretty stock. so , if stock means, coming of the show room floor, no not stock. but all stock suff on the car.. yes. (no marker lights and no S4 running boards) since the car did 180 at nardo, its not surprising it got near 172 on the salt. just takes a steady hand and foot.
we all know it was really an '86 car anyway, and hybrid 86/87 engine anyway, right?

yep, the smaller winter size rims were used. 205 or 225 if i remember for low drag and maybe better grip on the surface.
