Wondering what the part pictured in my hand does. There are two of these that I found so far. One in the center console and one on the passenger storage tray.

It monitors the rera lights and brake lights. Should they not function, e.g. bulb burnt out, you get a warning on the dash.

There are two of them, do they both do the same thing?

928 641 603 04 is the part number.

With a PET, a reference manual and google you'll have a world of information

The one in the center console is for the power locks. Passenger parcel tray has the bulb check unit. Should be 2 different part numbers.

Cheers!

Are these on an 81 possibly? I have some wires under the carpet that are not connected to anything and were cut at one point.

My bulb detection works fine but my power locks have issues. Could missing one of these be the cause?

Joe- I'm not Glen, but I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Download the pdf, which should be searchable by part number.
