Default Wheel advice - yes I've searched

I've been looking around for some 10 spoke Panamera take offs 18x8 ET59 (I'm thinking 235/40/18 tires) front & 18x9 ET53 (265/35/18) rears

I don't want to modify my fenders, and I want to keep as close to the original geometry as possible (hence the Panamera ET59 fronts).

While I've been looking I ran into this site:
http://www.modbargains.com/Forgestar...he-18-Inch.htm

Available Offsets and Sizes
18x8.5 offsets from +26 to +50
18x9.0 offsets from +20 to +55
18x9.5 offsets from +26 to +60
18x10.0 offsets from +16 to +42
18x11.0 offsets from +23 to +55
18x12.0 offsets from +36 to +68

Would any of those wheels work? Maybe 18x9 ET55 front and 18x9.5 ET55 rear? Using the wheel fitment calculator it seems like they would, but I want to get opinions. Thoughts?

So 18x9 ET55 will be even worse?

I think the front max is 8" with a 57mm offset and using a 245 wide tire.
But I maybe mistaken.

I have the 10 spoke Panamera wheels on mine. currently with 225 fronts and 265 rears. I will go 235 front next time though. If you want to do a trial fit of my wheels just let me know.

Thanks man I'm pretty sure the panameras will fit and I'm still on the look out for a set, just wanted to see if these Forgestars would work since they have several different color options.

A 18x9 ET55 wheel will be worse in the front than a 18x8 ET50 wheel. It would protrude outward equivalent to a 18x8 ET~42 wheel since by increasing the overall width by 1" (25.4mm) you have added 12.7mm to both sides of the wheel. It's not just offset that is important, but wheel width as well. As width increases, you need a larger positive offset to keep the wheel/tire from hitting the fender. This is why 18x10 ET65 wheels (very common size) do not fit well on the front of a 928.

No. You really need to have 55ET on an 8" front. So if you increase the wheel width by 1" (so not we're talking 9") you would need to increase the ET by roughly 13mm (1/2") or an ET of 68 to maintain the same plane between the face of the tire and the fender.

Does that make sense? Auzi's pdf is very comprehensive, but maybe too comprehensive.

Assuming 55ET on an 8" front and a 51ET on an 11" rear, here are rough minimum ETs.

Rim Width...Front ET...Rear ET
7.......43....3
7.5....49....9
8...... 55....15
8.5... 61....21
9...... 67....27
9.5... 73....33
10.....79....39
10.5..N/A....45
11.....N/A....51

FWIW, I have 8x18 ET54's with 235-40ZR-18's on the front of my GTS, stock ride height and factory rolled fender lips. The outer edge of the tire is _just_ inside the fender well, but the inner rubs on full lock only when I am turning into the driveway and bounce through the gutter. So with 235's ET54 it's as close as I'm comfortable going on the inside with an 8" wheel (and on the outside, for that matter...)

Good point there... tire selection may also affect rubbing. Caveat emptor. YMMV. For off road use only. Professional driver on closed course. etc...
