Hi Rob, I wonder if you can check the spec on this for me please. At the moment its got upgraded wheels, steering wheel and Porsche stereo. I'm thinking of putting it back to standard.

Paint code is S7 (Silver metallic), Interior code is QM, carpet code is 7VT (silk gray), seat code is XN5. XN5 isn't listed in the PET seats catalog, I assume the seats are also silk gray which was a 'special leather' option in 1989, but I can't prove it.

i Know that my 1981 928s White grand prix is imported to us in 1993.(carfax)
start hier trip in Michigan, Then Florida to finish her us Life in California.

car is back to Europe around 2020.

i am busy to list thé incredible modifications done for us registration.
and … try to « clean » it in order to get back the right Power.
i am Go Ing to s’endormît emails to several Porsche center. In case of…

the car have non original red and black cover on flat seats.

I can already tell you that this is an early 1981 non-S 928. What is the current engine serial number?

here, the car is registered with a 4,7l...

that's what I can read on my pictures.

This is not an engine number. It is stamped next to the water pump and should be something like M28/09... .

Default VIN Decoder? Anyone have a website?

Anyone have a VIN decoder website that shows the original make/color/factory specs?
I don't want to have to trouble some owners that can run this as I'd like to look up several VINs.

No problem to look up several VINs, as long as 'several' isn't more than 8 or 10.

You're right, it's not an 928S but a 4,5.
code M28/09...
