Official 928 VIN & Option check request thread

Race Car
Thx Rob. The title says Z but it also states its a 1983 928. Pls replace the 10th digit with a D which I believe would indicate an 83. I'm working with a seller who has this car but the car is located a few miles away. I wanted to make sure it is a 928S Euro before asking him to go take pictures of it including the vin and engine number. The car has no sunroof, 5 spd and I think is a 928S Thx for all your help

Samuel is (of course) correct, the 4 denotes the 300 hp 4.7L motor, it's an 'S'.

Rob I apologize for asking you to run the VIN again, but I just got a picture of the VIN plate from the seller which shows WP0ZZZ92ZCS840601. So the car looks like an 82 even though the title says its an 83. Thx again for your help

To be honest, I don't have a complete understanding of the difference between partial leather and full leather,as it's not explicitly called out anywhere. My sense is that partial leather meant leather dash/center console/door armrests/seat bolsters, but i don't know what 'full leather' adds to that list. I could probably figure it out by comparing interior codes against picture galleries of 1980 models on BAT. Next time it's really slow on a Friday night.
