Anyone ever collect or locate information on the 5 digit interior option codes?

For example:
13941 is deviated carpet in classic grey
13861 is seat piping standard color - black

Thanks

As I look at cars to buy, I may have a couple of these I need run. I really appreciate your help.

Hi Jeff, sadly the number of 5-digit codes with known data is very limited. Unless someone can get a list from a friendly Porsche dealership, its likely to stay that way.

Your two above has increased my list to about 6, and I'm not 100% on the other 4.

Yeah, he claimed it was an '86.5, glad it came up that way.

Can you explain what these are? Sorry, I'm new to this. Thanks!

Rob Edwards 01-24-2015 07:29 PM

Sure!

M28.44 is the code for a 5 liter S3 32 valve engine, 292 hp at 5750 rpm, 10.1 compression.

A28.07 is the 4-speed automatic transmission, 2.20 ring and pinion gear.

C02 is a U.S. 49 states' emission spec.

Any 928 VIN with GS in the middle and a last 4 digits >1000 is an 86.5. That said, after 29 years, you want to make sure it's still wearing an S4 suspension....
