picture of sticker on tailgate floor - VIN decode from post 5440-
just wondering what the 10051 and 10022 represent?
i guess one of them is the red seat piping, could the other one be the red leatherette around the rear storage box ?as pictured
strange as its the only piece of red leatherette in the car the rest is the usual black and door card inserts are the usual cream, the same as the seats
cheers

Oh, bloody hell, you own it.
For the 1995 ROW market, there were a total of 399 cars, 54 5-speeds and 345 automatics.
Of the 5-speeds, 37 had sunroofs and 17 did not.
Overall there were 10 Amaranth violet cars, 8 automatics and 2 5-speeds. All 10 are German market cars, interestingly enough.
Both of the 5 speeds had classic gray interiors, though the interior codes are different- not sure what the difference was.
The two 5 speeds, 1 had a sunroof and 1 did not. And the no-sunroof car also had sport shocks while the other did not.
So yours is utterly unique and alongside the Clubsport cars is pretty much the ultimate configuration for any 928.
Does it still have the original telephone setup?

One of the previous owners changed the radio out and added some car alarm system. It was draining the battery and so I removed it and replaced the radio with the update / backdated blaupunkt bremen sqr 46 dab - looks amazing. But no phone..

1645 ROW 1991s produced, 513 GTs and 1132 automatics.
Of the GTs, there were 3 violet blue metallic cars, all German market.
1696 is the only one without a sunroof. And for whatever weird reason it has the M639 code for GT on it, along with 11 other ROW '91 GTs, despite that typically only being used for the '89GTs.

I don't have complete production numbers for most of the 80-86 model years due to a lack of paint and interior color code data. But in general I can tell you that there were 629 Non S cars, 1348 Ss, and 108 Japanese market cars.
Among the Non-Ss, there were 292 5-speeds and 337 automatics. Of the 5-speeds, 228 did not have a sunroof. So you're at 1 of 228 before we get to the color and interior variations. I'm afraid that's all I have.
